Abstract:
AGN outflows are some of the most interesting phenomenon in X-ray astrophysics. In my talk I will focus on the Active Galactic Nuclei NGC 7469, and show the power of grating spectroscopy in determining the outflow parameters. NGC 7469 is a unique case study, where observations have been spread across years, months, and days. Some of the diagnostic capabilities will be presented, and the physical parameters we can understand from them, examining the relation of the outflow both to the AGN and the host galaxy.
