2:00-4:00 pm
Have you been asked to do “some astronomy activity” in your community? Are you already volunteering with kids or teenagers and are looking for astronomy-themed activities? In this workshop, we will try out outreach activities for kids from elementary school (“scale model of the solar system”) to high school (“differential rotation of the sun”) and have fun ourselves. In the end, you’ll leave armed with tools and URLs ready to use when you are asked to “do something with astronomy”.
Because we need to print or buy materials for everyone, please email hgunther@mit.edu to register by January 10. If you have an activity you can share with the rest of the group, please let me know in that email.
