The Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) is a spaceborne survey of the sky aiming to detect and characterize planets beyond our Solar System, i.e., exoplanets. By studying the total red light emitted by the star-exoplanet system during the orbit of the exoplanet, it can probe the atmospheric properties of the exoplanet, allowing us to learn about the atmospheric temperature, composition, and potential winds. With TESS, we have already started to update our understanding of the atmospheres of several previously discovered hot planets and we will continue to do so in the remaining mission.
