Researchers at the MIT Kavli Institute explore extreme and unusual phenomena found beyond the Earth including extrasolar planets, black holes, neutron stars, and distant galaxies and clusters of galaxies. These studies probe physical phenomena that cannot be replicated in the controlled environment of terrestrial laboratories.

We invite you to join in this exploration with us by making a gift. Gifts to the MKI Unrestricted Fund support many of our activities: technology development for new experiments, workshops, student research projects, and other intellectual activities.

We work closely with the Department of Physics, with graduate student participation in our research. We encourage you also to consider supporting a student by becoming a Patron of Physics Fellows.

There are possible opportunities to have the Kavli Foundation match your major gift to our endowment. For further information, please contact Erin McGrath Tribble (contact information below).

Thank you for your interest and support.

Director
