We are pleased to announce that MKI graduate student Greg Dooley was recently named one of the Fall 2013 recipients of the Henry Kendall Teaching Award in the Department of Physics.  Greg was nominated by Professor Anna Frebel for being “a wonderful TA for my 8.282 class. He has gone beyond the call of duty to make sure my students are well taken care of and that no questions are left unanswered. … Whenever I’ve seen him with the students I believe I caught a glimpse of Greg’s significant ability to become a great teacher/lecturer”.

The Henry Kendall Teaching Award was established in 2010 and named after Henry Kendall, 1990 Nobel Laureate and long-time MIT Physics faculty member.  This award recognizes graduate student teaching assistants in the Department of Physics whose performance has been significantly above what is expected of a TA.  Two to four awards, each with an accompanying prize of $750, are given annually.  Three other graduate students received the Fall 2013 award.
