Two graduate physics students at the MIT Kavli Institute have received $70,000 MathWorks Fellowships. The students, Nicholas Demos and Wenxuan Jia, work on projects related to the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) in the lab of Matthew Evans, the MIT MathWorks Professor of Physics. “It’s a great thing for both of them and our lab as well,” says Evans.
