Albert Einstein had a theory. A century later, it was proved, largely thanks to the efforts of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Professor Rainer Weiss, a scientist at MIT Department of Physics, MIT Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research and LIGO Scientific Collaboration, earning him a Nobel Prize in physics. Watch his story about the discovery of #gravitationalwaves in a beautiful new video by Redglass Pictures, produced by the MIT School of Science, and presented by The New York Times: https://www.nytimes.com/video/opinion/100000006819172/the-sound-of-gravity.html
