As an incoming graduate student in Prof. Salvatore Vitale’s research group at MIT, I’ll work on using data analysis techniques to study high-energy astrophysical systems (like black holes and neutron stars) through their gravitational-wave signals. I have previously worked on detector characterization and data quality efforts to assist in gravitational-wave discoveries for the LIGO-Virgo collaboration. I am originally from Colombia, and double-majored in Physics and Systems and Computing Engineering at Universidad de Los Andes (Bogotá, CO).
