I started my graduate studies at MIT in the fall of 2017. I received B.S./M.S. degrees at Yonsei University in South Korea. During my master’s degree, I studied on the torus of Active Galactic Nucleus (AGN). At MIT, I am working with Professor Jacqueline Hewitt on radio interferometry and cosmology. Specifically, we are building and using a telescope, the Hydrogen Epoch of Reionization Array (HERA), to investigate cosmic dawn and the epoch of reionization (EoR). The goal of our team is to figure out HI structures of early Universe, how and when the EoR started and ended, and ultimately the evolution of first stars/galaxies and Universe.
