Christos’s research focuses on the study of accreting supermassive black holes using mostly observations from X-ray and UV/optical telescopes, with the goal of inferring the nature and geometry of these objects, from their innermost regions up to pc scales away from the black hole.
Christos received his PhD from the University of Geneva in 2021 for his study of reflection features in the hard X-ray spectra of nearby AGN. Before that, he obtained his BS degree in Physics and his MS degree in Advanced Physics from University of Crete in 2014 and 2016, respectively. Christos joined MIT in 2021 as an SNSF postdoc fellow and is a member of the Kara Black Hole Group.
