Benjamin Schneider received his PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Paris-Saclay (France) in 2022. As part of his PhD, he worked on the morphology of gamma-ray burst (GRB) host galaxies using Hubble Space Telescope images and the characterization of the Microchannel X-ray Telescope (MXT) on board the SVOM mission. He is interested in the optical follow-up of transient objects using ground facilities such as the Very Large Telescope or the OHP/T193. He is currently a postdoc at the MIT Kavli Institute working at the interface of X-ray astrophysics and instrumentation. His current projects include the development of next-generation of CCD detectors for future X-ray missions and the study of galaxy clusters using Chandra observations.
